On June 14 just four days shy of the album's release, Miller released the music video for "Watching Movies". On May 25, the song would be released to retail as the album's second official single. I can completely see how fantano could have been completely swayed by the growth shown on circles and appreciated the more complete and tightly wrapped clean album not having to have necessarily loved swimming to see it as growth which was the entire point of releasing sequel albums which is growth on a subject.Donald Trump" is the third official single from American rapper Mac Miller, and the only song released as an official single from his mixtape Best Day Ever. I think theneedledrop finding swimming to have been a hard listen with the decent singing mixed with subpar rapping being an unenjoyable listen then listening to circles with much better production and a mellow tone consistently through out the entire project and not having jarring changes in sound from song to song.
I can see how you could look at swimming in a negative light and then having focused on those negatives then listening to circles and be happily surprised. I personally see the growth and changes mac made from swimming to circles as quite large. Yes it’s a sequel and yes they are connected but I don’t see why you would have to like one to enjoy the other, musically they are quite different.
